The creation of ItsGoingOff mobile surf information
service was driven by the need to obtain accurate
forecasts and reports cheaply and on the move. It's a
service developed by surfers, for surfers.
We didn't want to pay the premium rate costs and we
weren't always able to access the Internet. We wanted
information on our mobile phones, using text messaging,
so that we could obtain a forecast while on a surf trip
and check the surf from our beds, wherever or whenever
we wanted.

Generated by an experienced oceanographer and surfer. Five-day forecasts - more accurate than any other surf forecasting service.

Our teams of beach checkers around the country check the surf each morning and relay the information to you.

Wave Buoy Data
For surfers who want real-time wave and wind information, we obtain recorded data from the wave buoys around the UK, updated hourly.

Scheduled Messages? or Messages On Demand? - The surf information at ItsGoingOff can be requested, at any time, by texting us from your mobile (Messages on Demand), or you can set up scheduled messages to automatically supply you with information on a regular basis.
ItsGoingOff is a Pay-As-You-Go service. Messages are paid for with credits, which cost 30-50p each and are bought in batches of 20, 50 or 100. This way you don't have to worry about those premium rate forecast costs on your phone bill.
